This policy describes how Althais Health, Inc. ("Althais," "we") collects, uses, and protects information through our website and platform. It applies to account holders, site visitors, and — where Althais is acting as a business associate under HIPAA — the protected health information ("PHI") our customers submit to the platform.
2. Information We Collect
Account information (name, work email, organization) provided at signup; usage data such as pages visited and features used; and, for customers using the coding and claims platform, clinical documentation and claim data submitted for processing. Demo and newsletter forms collect the name, email, and organization you provide directly.
3. How We Use It
To provide and improve the platform, respond to support and sales requests, send product and account-related communications, and — with consent — send coding and regulatory update content you've subscribed to. We do not sell personal information or PHI.
4. Protected Health Information
For customers who submit PHI to the platform, Althais acts as a business associate under HIPAA. A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) governs how PHI is handled, and PHI is used solely to provide the coding, claims, and analytics services the customer has engaged Althais to perform — never for advertising or unrelated purposes.
5. Data Retention
Account and claims data is retained for as long as an account is active and as required to meet healthcare recordkeeping obligations. You may request deletion of non-PHI personal information by contacting us; PHI retention and deletion is governed by the applicable BAA.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and contractual retention requirements. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
